Let's take a look at what makeit stand out from the crowd. (upbeat musicWe've been seeing more anmore ARM-based windows devicerecently, and even more on the waas the software support improves. And this guy here is no exception. Now, your configuration may vardepending on where you get yours froand what options you choosebut we've got a QualcomSnapdragon 8CX Gen 2 processorunning between 1.8 and 3.15 gigahertz16 Gigs of RAM, and a 256 GiNVMe SSD for rapid boot times. Now, obviously, this was designed morfor videoconferencing, makinannotations to documentand designs. I mean, particularly the facthat it has built in styluwith an actual place to freaking store it. I mean, how crazy does it make yowhen you see a product wita stylus and it's likeyeah, you're just gonna havto keep the stylus in theI don't know, the backpacthat you now also havto carry around with yoinstead of just having convenient place to tuck ithat's built right intthe product magnetically. That's freaking awesome. It's great for browsing the weor getting work done at home or on the go. But, you know guys, we're Linus Tech Tipsso, obviously, we wergonna try to game on it. Rocket league, yeahthat didn't launch it aland that's gonna be the caswith most hardcore games. But we did manage tget some lighter titleslike Stardew Valley anGraveyard Keeper running. And I am gonna trGraveyard Keeper right now. This is awesome. This ilike actually working. Go figure right? On mobile GPU effectively. I mean, obviouslythis is not like the world'most graphically intensive gamor anything like thabut the story here ithat like it works, rightSo when you're on a planand you finally run out of likemails to reply to whateveryou can go pick some peat moss. Now pivoting though, to ideal workloadfor the elite folio. It's a much more compelling story. One of our writers actuallended up taking onof our two units home to use for a couplOf weeks, doing everythinfrom browsing Reddibefore bed in tablet mode, tusing the pull forward desigfor displaying recipes in thkitchen, to holding scriptin the traditional laptolayout during a shooand so that I can read off of it. I remember that and everythinin between and it nevegot overly warm. The vegan leather is super softo the touch and gethis it's wipe resistant. Can we try thatOhoOh, this is awful. I'm sorry, everyone. Wow. That is a lot of ketchup. I guess what I would probably dif I was trying to cleasomething is first I'd get thYou know, the main goops off, rightSo now it's yeah, it's been wiped. I can't say I can't say I completelunderstand what that means. So I did actually get all thketchup out of the track padSo that's good. And it resisted being wiped, I suppose. So if you've gottYou know, grab a snack, rightYou're sitting at thcoffee shop, you pouketchup all over your laptop. Fortunately you can wipe it. Okay. Seriously though, baca little bit more on topic. ARM on windows is not perfecyet, but given that mosof our work here at Linus MediGroup runs an either G suitor Office 365, sorryeditors that's work toobut I'm talking more aboulike the writing team stuff. The compatibility issuethat might affect someonlike a video editor or a gamerthey don't really show up. The kind of thing you woulnotice would be the keyboard. And it actually feels great to type on. It's really quiet. I really like, I mean, HP habeen making great noteboolaptops for a long time. Ah, okay, Well apparently that's it. I typed 90 words per minute. Now there's a bunch of pointthat the writer Plouffe puin here about how it's well laid out, evethough this is a supecompact device and point iswhile you're on a conferenccall, it's super quietreally comfortable ttype on and manages to blike a soft bottom outbut without completellacking any tactile feelthat's absolutely criticafor a business machinlike this and definitelholds it somewhat againssimilarly priced laptops. The chassis is magnesium and super thin. The track pad feels good. It smells like ketchup. Your mileage may vary on that one. And two in one hinge designhave clearly come a long wafrom when the first convertible showed up. Like, I absolutely lovthe super strong magnetisof this hinge. It's never something thayou're gonna feel likyou know, accidentally turnefloppy doodly over time. Remember when thecalled them convertiblesLike, back when they firsstarted marketing these thingsTwo in one is definitela better name for it. Just like that, like any two in oneas soon as you flip it into tablet modeit goes ahead and, you knowenables auto rotate anfancy stuff like that. For IO, you've got a threand a half millimeteheadphone jack in two USB type C ports. One on either side thadoes mean you'll need a huif you're using a wired mousfor example, but thankfullthere's no speciaARM compatible hubs or anything like that. You just use a normal one. And the type C ports arfor charging as well. That is when the battery eventually dies. It's rated for a whoppin25 hours of video playbacon a single charge, whicis three normal workdayor two super long oneswhich is absolutely perfecfor when business travebecomes a thing again. On that note, it's also got SIM card slot hidden away nexto the stylus that wtotally didn't talk about yebut that'll allow you to staconnected just about anywherby a 4g LTE, 5g, or wifsix, all of these featurebattery life, cellular connectivityand of course the fanlesdesign traced bacto the Qualcomm Snapdragocompute chip set. And oh right, this is where I wasupposed to talk about the stylus but ended up talking about iearlier, cause it's so cool. I mean, you know, business rightSign documents or whateverIn terms of the speakersthey're made by HP, but tuneby Bang and Olufse(upbeat music playingI mean, obviously we'rnot expecting a ton of bason a device this size, buI'd say given the sizeBang and Olufsen did bang up job of tuning it. Yeah. That's like super respectable. It's not room filling by any stretcof the imagination, buI don't expect it to be. And what it does havis excellent clarity. I wouldn't say the web cais the best I've ever seebut I'll let you guys be the judgin terms of how you feel it looks. And since we're alreadtalking about things that arnot all sunshine and rainbowsI already mentioned thlack of legacy USB A portbut like other SOC based notebookthere is functionally zero upgradability. And it is a little on thheavy side, especiallif you're using it as a tableat roughly three pounds. The flip side of that thoughGet it flip side of that to getIs at least it feels, yoknow, reassuringly hefty. Speaking of assuranceyou can get an optional Hsure view reflect screeto prevent unwanted helperfrom glancing over at youscreen, allowing you to woron whatever you want, wherever you want. We've actually tried that oubefore and it is super cool. And another feature thaI talked about brieflbut I haven't actually shown you guys yet. It's becoming a staple oprivacy oriented deviceis a physical shuttefor the included webcam. So you don't have to worrabout someone gettinaccess to your devicand peeping on you.
