In this video, we're going to take a bit of a different approach, and walk through how the Apple Vision Pro functions with Webflow, Figma, and ChatGPT. It's early days, but I haven't been this excited about a product in a while. so it was like 14 years ago that StevJobs said in order for there to be a necategory of device that device has to da number of things better than existincategories so in the case of the iPad ihad to do a number of things better thasmartphones and it had to do a number othings better than notebooks and abou30 something hours ago I was applyinthat same logic to the Apple Vision Prit has to do a number of things bettethan my daily driver my M2 MacBook Aiand it has to do a number of thingbetter than my workstation which is Mac Studio and I created a list of ththings that I do pretty commonly with uwith both of those uh computers both othose interfaces and I think when think of things like that in my tecstack or my work stack do I look reallgood how how is it a picture it's easto see that the Apple Vision Pro is noso great and I'll show you in just just a minute what web flow is like othe Apple Vision Pro and what figma ilike on the Apple Vision Pro Etc I thinthe big misunderstanding was I went ithere thinking that it was going to riand replace key parts of my existinworkflow and if that's the game I thinright now for V1 of Apple Vision Prit's going to lose but I think that'the wrong way to look at it because lasnight once I made the swap over to thidual band which by the way the singlband thing it's the worst cheek pressurand forehead pressure ever I think oncI switched bands and kind of got thhang of this is maybe something a littlbit new and different it became a littleasier to understand how I cacreatively use this to maybe do nethings or different things than I'doing in my existing workflow I want tknow if this can be an actual CorBusiness tool so when I'm doinsomething like traveling I constantlwant a 27 or 32in display and I'usually using the 15-inch laptop I wanto know is this a practical way ttravel I want to know if this is practical way to develop when we'rtalking web development to design 2D an3D space I want to know if I can use mijourney in this if I can use open AIchat gbt in this and those are ththings I'm going to be exploring ovethe next couple weeks um and I'll do first look just First Impressions I dia little bit of this yesterday but I'lI'll do a first look and kind of sharwhat I'm finding with using certaitools and different ways to use thostools so we'll start with weblow uwe'll look at figma uh we'll install haven't done it yet we'll install chaGPT and try that out uh but with thabeing said let's put the Vision Pro ookay here we are we're in the Vision Prlet's go to Safari and open up webfloso this is what you might think of wheyou think of spatial Computing you'think of loading up a web app likwebflow the problem is most web apps outhere in fact most apps out there arnot optimized yet for spatial Computinso you'd think okay I can set the thwidth here let's do 300 pixels it workit actually kind of works what reallgets you in trouble though is when yotry to do things that are realldesigned for a totally differeninterface where it's like 400 pixelmargin on the top always a best practicand that's fine but I want to realljust drag and manipulate and that's onof the best features of web flow and just can't drag and manipulate thingand it just ends up glitching oueverything so let's see if I can add aelement no that's not what wanted can't really do it so insteawhat I found is really powerful is iyou have your portable so normally wheI'm traveling if I'm doing somethinlike web flow I'm looking down huncheover the laptop like this and of coursI'm limited to this 15 in uh screen reaestate so what I want to do with applVision Pro is hit the connect button anwhat that'll do is it black out mscreen my primary display here blackout and suddenly I get a giant 4display I can place anywhere sinstantaneously I went from a 15incdevelopment environment to we can makthis as big as we want this could blike a 85 in television screen contexand I can put it wherever I want and onof the things I didn't see in a lot othe ads or the documentation the thliterature for Apple Vision Pro is thawhen you move something closer ofarther to you it's not that it'getting huge even though it's right nexto you obviously this is not great buit actually relatively keeps the sizconsistent it just changes thperspective so you're not overwhelmeeven though it's a large display you'rnot necessarily overwhelmed with it it'just positioning it where you want thother great thing is has the shadoeffect so you can see the web flodesigner is kind ohovering over the countertop there whicis pretty great I think the other thinand this is already just developing liknormal can have this and notice how it'not blocking even though it's open it'not being blocked the screen's not beinblocked so this even though this is kinof overlapping with that it's it's okaI can still see the developmenenvironment so I could even if I reallwant to I can move it down there camake it about this big and it's likhaving a giant display right in front ome so that's one thing the other reallinteresting thing and this is originallI'll be completely honest I thought iwas a gimmick but I think this is reallgreat so if you're in a if you're in anenvironment you just want some peace anyou want to go let's say to Joshua Treyou go to Joshua Joshua tree and thmore you turn the digitaCrown you get more and more immersed annow it's like my web flow developmenenvironment is in Joshua Tree on like 100 in display this is pretty cool anyou know I'm not having to look at thkeyboard if it's kind of weird if yosee my have to find the the home row keso that's already a little bit of bizarre thing so naturally I can eithedo this and see ah I'm way off okay sif I find my home Ries I can just starworking so I can use my mouse like usuauh but I can do command e add a div cado command e add heading uh what do we want that headinto say h hoabout hello world it'classihi uh and basically I can develop likusual so I think that's really powerful thing now in the context oApple Vision Pro my monitor or mdisplay my Mac ends up just beinanother thing so let's say I want thaover there I can go to Vision Pro and gto the home screen and I can pull uliterally anything else let's just dsettings move this back here for second you can see it's like having multim monitor set up the one limitatiothat I'm noticing is there's only ondisplay that you can extend no matter iyou have a MacBook Air MacBook Pro ustudio uh Mac Studio it doesn't matteso the other interesting thing is let mclose out of this the other interestinthing is this works for basically anapp so what I want to do now is I'going to close out and just let's gback to Safari design with figma finisokay here we are this ifigma yes I'm good with the tour thanyou okay so right there we just got treload okay X out so let's see if we camove whoa okay we are moving somethinaround in figma so it's it's actuallwhoa that is surreaokay so how do I scroll around in figmoh I can highlight this is scool oh this is surreal so if I want tselect yeah same thing I'm havinselection issues again the interface inot optimized nor should it be at thistage but it's not optimized I'm movinthis Frame around that's pretty cool hodo I oh that is amazing okay so I keegetting this forced reload I don't knoif that's a safari issue or what's goinon a problem repeatedly let'refresh so we're movinout okay select move around this iincredible I can actually imaginreviewing work like this so let's see iwe can go into comment mode and let'drop a oh this is scooincrediblincredible what is happeninoh it's showing up there so that's weirthis doesn't update with that okay sI'm going to I'm going to trust figma athe source of Truth okay that's that'glitchinout so clearly some rough edges this inot any fault of figma this is verclearly just a totally differeninterface and I think I may may not havaccess to figma anymore okay we need aeven more Serene environment for thione let'do the Moookay so we're on thmoon so what's weird about being in onof these environments is it completelmakes everything has disappeared howevethat's not great when I don'immediately see the choice to connect swhat I'm going to do is I'm going tlook up go to controcenter and get MacBooAir there is some subtle latency but fothe most part it's fine let's add somtext pretty normal I I will say asomeone who generally doesn't hunt anpeck on the keyboard it is a littldiscon it's I don't know disconcertinis the right word I think the preferencwould be to switch back to this or thave a little bit less of an immersivenvironment so I can look down and jusfind hom row find the trackpad if I neeto because doing it completely immerselike this it's just too much for me it'just little it obvious it's the importancontext that I need just to keegrounded so something like this might bbetter plus the Moon is just I don'know if it's the best option let'switch let's do MounHood okay I'm in figma I could easilsee myself forgetting about being ithis apple Vision Pro thing it's been little bit of time and I don't reallfeel fatigue from it the interestinthing here is when you're used to a larger immersive environment like thiso I can put this up here you caimagine tons of frames so if you'rdoing proofs if you're doing commentinEtc let me go back and do thaagain so if you have a ton of framelet's just create an example of thiwherit's if you have tons of frames anyou're doing a review I can see thibeing an extremely helpful environmenI'd say the screen real estate you werforwarded in something like thiis pretty great and I think that's thkiller app right now I think everyone'looking for this in terms of nativfunctionality in terms of a lot of thdemo things the native apps that arhere some of the compatible apps froiPad Etc but I think the real key aleast for me the unlock so far in thestwo is having like a 200 in display fofigmo reviews this is pretty incrediblI can see this being pretty helpful okalet's close out of that because the nexone we're not going to need this thnext one is going to be chat gbt chat whoa chat okay chat this is chaGPT all right let's go this is not thofficial app so let's go to iPhone aniPad apps and let's download the iPachat gbapp okay we are in chat GPT in applVision Pro so a couple things right ofthe bat I want to know if I can usdictation the right way allow augmentereality learning experiences utilizspatial Computing so I'm noticing ththe read the uh the width the travedistance is high so I'm going to switcinto portrait that's a little bettemaybe I can make this a little smalleoh that's so cool so this is kind ocool if you just want to have chat GPas your assistant in the context oVision Pro maybe you're doing somethinelse you have you know something elsgoing on I'll just open settings as aexample here and and you're working witstuff you kind of have chat GPT over tthe side and this is pretty helpful syou can imagine having multiple windowmaybe even having this is this iinteresting maybe even having havinyour primary computer righhere so check this out when you're usinthe trackpad you can actually scroljust like you normally would in the Makeep in mind this is an iPad app runninin an apple Vision Pro and the trackpais from a MacBook Air there's so manwords there and the incredible thing iit just kind of works so I want a nechat it just creates a new chat if want to just go in here and I'm using mMac to control an iPad app within thcontext of an apple Vision Pro this ipretty neat I think one of the mosinteresting things about this is thayou can very quickly and I'm starting tdo this you can very quickly forget thayou're in the Vision Pro I know thasounds weird but especially when you'rin these kind of immersive views iyou're if you're down like this suppose it's a little even even then can imagine forgetting about it buespecially when you'rimmersed it's surreal how much you stoand you stop realizing that there's device an entire computer on your facand you're just doing stuff you're jusdoing normal stuff and it's it can be oyour computer it can be with your normainterface right here can be with thesiPad apps I'm sure it could be with bunch of other stuff but that's my bitakeaway right now is for this kind omirrored let me turn this down for thithis mirrored view this extended displathing this is so far for me the killeapp so I'm going to close this normally end these videos or I talabout my business and I have definitelbeen heads down in business mode but I'really curious about how business igoing to be affected by this if ireally is going to be something that'gointo you know just be an expensivpurchase that's going to sit on thshelf or be a cool gimmick or a demwhen friends come over or is it going tbe something that I actually integratinto my workflow that I derive valufrom that actually changes the way thaI approach something like video editinsomething like figment something likweb flow web development if I if I takmy normal stack and I think what are ththings here that might be better oApple Vision Pro what is that resulgoing to look like so I'm going to spenthnext 13 days remaining in this returperiod to really try to answer thaquestion uh with that I'll look over aCinema 4D look over athis it's gonna look weird for a whilpeople walking around with this peoplon a plan with this but you know whafor right noI have not been this optimistic about piece of Hardware
