So today, we're taking a deep divinto five popular gaming headsetto see which one's wortyour hard earned greenbacks.

(upbeat techno musicLet's start with SteelSerieand the Arctis 7.
For about 120 bucks on Amazonthis is one of the moraffordable headsets in the lineup today.
Out of the box, it comewith your required charginand audio input cables, awell as a remote receiver poto increase your wirelesrange, this thing.
The range on these things is the besof any of the headphonewe tested in our lineup.
It made it way outside the buildinand nearly across the whole parking lobefore dropping the signal.
Not bad.
On the back of this receiverthere is both a line in and a line out.
You can use in for audio froa second source like your phonand out for your computer speakerswhich will automatically turn ofwhen you turn on your wireless headphones.
So, no more messing witthe playback device's menu.
Huge winMoving onto the listening experiencethe Arctis 7's perform very okay.
Although there's a noticeable drop-ofat the upper and lower endof the frequency range.
Something that's easy enougto account for with the SteeSeries Engine Software EQ.
For gaming, the 7.virtualization is very goodwith clear directionalitto enemy movements in gamebut as far chat is concerned, wellthe microphone exists, buit's not gonna win any awards.
It does feature a niftretraction mechanism though.
So that's nice I guess.
The headband offers a lot of adjustmentbut the pressure arounthe ears is a bit strongparticularly for longer sessions.
Overall, the Arctis 7's didn'impress us too much, hot take.
But they're definitely passable.
Moving on.
Feast your eyes on this, thCorsair Virtuoso Wireless RGB.
RGB.
They're pretty expensive buthey got the looks to match.
Check out the subtle RGB ithe machine aluminium accents.
The big ear cuffs are comfand actually didn't end ugetting too hot during uswhich is something that occasionallcan be a problem with leatherette cups.
There's also a fully removable microphone.
A nice touch if you hava stand mounted microphonfor streaming, for example.
The range is reported to be 60 feebut our tests put it closer to 20-25 feetwhich actually is the worst of the buncbut I am happy to see USB-making an appearance here.
In fact, you may have noticed USB-making another appearanchere at "lttstore.com".
Okay, as for gaming, the VirtuosRGB's have great imaging.
This makes it super easy tfocus in on targets you hear.
However, the sound profilis all over the place.
The bass drops off towarthe end of the rangebut is weirdly jackeup in the low mid-range.
So it's really boomy out of the box.
However, the Clear Chat EQ presein the companion IQ softwaractually does a remarkabljob of remedying this.
And with some additional tweakingwe ended up really pleasewith the headset as a whole.
Good job Corsair.
Maybe just throw better tune on this thinout the box and yeah, happiness.
Next up we have the mosexpensive headset in the lineup.
The Astro A50.
The big appeal with the A50'is the fancy wirelescharging cradle/dock ordeal.
Not only does it chargina snap, literallythere's also a huge arraof IO on the back, including optical.
But watch out because othethan the micro-b charging portthere's no IO on the headset at all.
So you cannot connecit to any other deviceunless you use the dock.
That applies to wireless or wired.
Our A50s are PC and PS4 compatibland there's also a PC/Xbox versioif that's your consol of choice.
As for how they sound though, well lookthey sound good, okayQuite good actually.
They have a nice, clear response througthe entire range, particularly up tobut they aren't actuallthe best sounding headsein this list in our opinion.
And for the price these commandthat's a major sin in my eyes anyway.
This is really comfortable though.
I really, really want to love them.
They are really comfortable.
They're easy to use day to daand the fact that there'an Xbox version is awesome.
You don't always see that.

But for gaming specificallyI'm gonna have to recommenmy next set of headphonesincidentally from the parencompany of Astro, Logitech.
The Logitech G935's.
Let's get one thing ouof the way here first.
The G935's from Logitech are not perfect.
The creak a little on the twisand they're relatively bidesign may not be for everybody.
So why is this our favoritheadset of the bunchWell they're priced incredibly well.
They're comfortable witthese big plush ear cupand they just sound fantastic.
The 50 mm drivers maktheir presence knowwith a full and deep low rangwhile still doing pretty well up topwith only a mild drop off ithe very high end of the rangand with a mild EQ tune up, they sounjust stellar with music.
When it comes to gaming howevermake sure to use thprofile switching featurto enable surround sound.
The DTS codec and surround sound emulatiodo an incredible job imaging in-games.
Just be aware the processing affects musito a degree that is noticeablbut as long as you're actually usinthe automatic switchingyou're good to go.
The G-hub software giveyou a ton of optionfor programming the three G buttonon the back of the headsefor lighting, sounor IO presets and of course there's RGB.
Even though, it's all othe back of the headsewhere it's not visible to youstream viewers or audiencand if no one can see youRGB, does it really existFeatures like the tip-umicrophone mute are great to seas are the hidden dongle cowdand user replaceable battery.
Finally, we have the HyperX Cloud Flight.
Wow, are these headphones over amplified.
The highs are way over modulateand so is the upper bass range with thnoticeable dip in the midand since the 270 megabytsoftware actually containnothing useful, the only wato make these sound bettewas to install Equalizer APOa free equalizer which actually got theto a totally reasonable level.
Very listenable, thadoesn't mean ill forgive thlack of effort HyperX put into the overaluser and listening experience here though.
For a measly $94 relativto all the other ones in thgroup, I can understand ibut it feels like an incomplete producand our similarly priceother options herare just better buys.
Podium time, our gold medal goes to thescreaky Logitech G935's as the best valuespecially with a good EQ applied.
